For tilers and bathroom renovators
Follow up a tiling quote by making preparation and finish choices clear.
Tiling quotes can vary because of substrate preparation, demolition, waterproofing, tile supply, pattern, set-out, cuts, trims, grout, access, and disposal. A useful follow-up brings one unresolved scope point into focus without pressuring the customer.
First check: confirm the quote arrived
If it was missed, resend the same document first. That prevents an earlier scope from being confused with later conversations about tiles or layout.
Clarify what sits behind the square-metre figure
The lowest area rate may not represent the same job. Refer only to work actually allowed for, and do not imply that concealed substrate repairs are included when the condition cannot yet be known.
Resolve selections in writing
Large-format tiles, mosaics, mitres, patterns, niches, falls, and movement joints can change work. A revised written quote is clearer than an informal promise in a text thread.
State real scheduling dependencies
Separate your availability from supplier lead times and preceding trades. Do not call a date reserved until the actual acceptance and deposit requirements in your terms are complete.
Close the loop respectfully
This removes pressure while making it clear that an old quote may need review if selections, site conditions, or costs change.
