For solar retailers and installers
Follow up a solar quote by clarifying the design and its assumptions.
Solar proposals can differ on system size, panel and inverter models, layout, shading assumptions, switchboard work, monitoring, approvals, warranties, and savings estimates. A useful follow-up explains the written proposal without promising a bill outcome or creating false rebate urgency.
First check: confirm the proposal arrived
Resend the same version if needed. This keeps the conversation tied to the quoted equipment, layout, price, and date rather than a verbal approximation.
Make the comparison specific
Use model numbers and documented warranty terms. Explain the inputs behind any estimate, including usage, tariff, export, shading, orientation, and degradation assumptions. Do not describe an estimate as a guaranteed saving.
Resolve site and option questions
Site inspection, network requirements, roof condition, access, metering, and switchboard work can affect delivery. Put revisions in an updated proposal so the customer can compare like with like.
Separate approvals from availability
Do not imply that network or government approval is guaranteed. Avoid countdown claims about rebates, certificates, stock, or prices unless they are current, documented, and accurately qualified.
Close the loop respectfully
A clean closeout is better than repeated chasing and makes clear that equipment, incentives, assumptions, and pricing may need to be reviewed later.
