Jobber quote follow-up templates: use two useful reminders, then review.

Jobber can automate up to two follow-ups while a quote is awaiting a response. These editable messages give each touch a real purpose, then use Jobber’s separate internal quote reminders for any later manual review.

Independent guide: QuoteChime is independent and is not affiliated with Jobber. It drafts text in your browser; it does not connect to Jobber, change a quote, or send a message.

What Jobber currently supports

Jobber’s automation documentation says quote follow-ups are available on Connect plans and above. You can configure up to two reminders for quotes in Awaiting response, choose the delay and message, and send through the same method used for the original quote. Jobber documents internal quote reminders separately: they prompt your team to follow up manually on unapproved quotes instead of sending another client message automatically.

A finite Jobber workflow

  1. Automation 1 confirms receipt. Send it only while the quote still awaits a response.
  2. Automation 2 asks one useful question. Offer to clarify scope, timing, or an actual option in the quote.
  3. An internal reminder triggers review. Before sending anything else, check for replies, calls, a changed status, duplicate contacts, or a stop request.
  4. Close or update the quote. If a final manual message is appropriate, send it once, record the result, and stop.

Two templates for Jobber’s automated follow-ups

Replace every bracketed field with facts from the quote. Preview the exact fields and delivery channel available in your current Jobber setup before enabling an automation.

1. Confirm the quote arrived

Hi [first name], just checking the quote for [work] reached you okay. If you have any questions about what is included, reply here and I will help. — [your name], [business]

This message has one job: surface a delivery problem or an early question. Do not add a false deadline.

2. Make the decision easier

Hi [first name], I am following up on the quote for [work]. Is there anything you would like clarified about the scope, options, or timing before you decide? Our current availability is [truthful availability]. — [your name], [business]

Remove the availability sentence if you do not have a real, current window. Do not imply a slot is held unless your normal booking process says it is.

A manual closeout after review

Jobber’s internal quote reminder can put the review on your schedule without automatically sending a third message. Check the client history and quote state first. If the customer is still silent and another contact is reasonable, use one clear closeout.

Hi [first name], I have not heard back about the quote for [work], so I will close it for now rather than keep following up. If you want to revisit it later, reply and I can confirm the current scope, price, and availability. — [your name], [business]

Stop conditions matter more than timing

Do not send a drafted message after the customer replies, declines, accepts, asks not to be contacted, or the quote changes state. Check Jobber’s current automation behaviour in your own account and use conservative delays suited to the job. A template is not a substitute for consent, context, or a final review.
