Fergus can send quote and estimate reminders by email, SMS, or both and lets you edit the templates. Use automation for a small number of useful messages, then review the customer history before any final closeout.

What Fergus currently supports

Fergus’s Help Centre documents a Quote/Estimate Reminder that can use email, SMS, or both. The reminder page lets you select frequency and edit the corresponding email and SMS templates. Its current reminder article lists expiry-based choices from 14 days before expiry through the expiry date, while release notes also describe post-publish timing choices. Check the options shown in your account before relying on a particular interval.

Fergus documents scheduled Quote/Estimate visit confirmations separately from reminders about a sent quote. Keep those workflows and their copy distinct: one concerns an appointment; the other asks for a decision about priced work.

Four messages to choose from

1. Confirm receipt

Hi [first name], just checking the quote for [work] reached you okay. If you have any questions about what is included, reply and I will help. — [your name], [business]

2. Clarify the decision

Hi [first name], I am following up on the quote for [work]. Is there anything you would like clarified about the scope, options, or next step before you decide? — [your name], [business]

3. Use a real expiry or availability fact

Hi [first name], a quick update on the quote for [work]: [choose one truthful fact—our current availability is … / the written quote is valid until …]. Reply if you would like to proceed or need a change confirmed in writing. — [your name], [business]

4. Send a closeout only after manual review

Hi [first name], I have not heard back about the quote for [work], so I will close it for now rather than keep following up. If you revisit it later, reply and I can confirm the current scope, price, and availability. — [your name], [business]

Configure cautiously

  1. Check whether the quote expiry date and customer contact details are current.
  2. Choose one channel unless there is a clear reason to use both.
  3. Verify how replies, acceptance, decline, and status changes affect your reminders.
  4. Review Notes and History before a manual SMS or closeout so you do not ignore a reply elsewhere.

Do not copy invoice-reminder wording into a quote reminder. A quote is a proposal awaiting a decision, not an overdue debt.
